Marsh Hawk #1 Red Tee Construction

Construction has begun for a new Red Tee Box for Marsh Hawk #1. Construction began Monday, February 1st and is expected to be completed before the start of the new golf season. The new tee box construction entails building a 5 foot high retaining wall that cuts into the slope of the hill side and raising the area to be level with the cart path.

Above is the start of excavation for the rock wall.

After trenching was complete a flag stone rock is begin laid as the retaining wall. Each rock must be put into place by hand and is a slow process to ensure a strong wall that will remain for years.

Despite weather conditions, a lot of progress has been made towards the retaining wall construction. Construction has started on the second level and will be completed shortly. After construction is completed, landscaping will be installed in the terrace level, adding even more character to the new tee box. The wall in this is over half-way completed and is looking Awesome!
